New Site Review New sites are reviewed before listing to assure the quality of all members. Reviews are generally handled within a day of submission. You will receive a confirmation email when your listing is activated. Content Guidelines Your site should contain a significant amount of free music content. We do not allow sites that have copyright violations such as illegal warez or commercial MP3's, adult content, or cascading pop-up ads. We generally do not accept other top sites or sites that consist only of links. Listing Order Each site is listed according to how many In visits have been recorded since the last Reset. Update Frequency The list is updated with new site listings and new visitor counts every 2 hours. Reset Frequency The In and Out visit totals are re-set on the first day of each month to give popular new sites a chance to appear fairly in the list. Recording Visits Our tracking software allows only one vote per household per day for each site. EMail Advertising (SPAM) Sending email or instant messages that include your linking code to FREEMUSICDIR.COM is prohibited. SPAM advertising is not allowed, any site that sends out an embedded URL or link to FREEMUSICDIR.COM will be permanently banned. Cheating We are aware of the various hacker tricks used to attempt to inflate visit statistics. Any site found cheating will be permanently banned.
